Linda Barton is a special education consultant with over 30 years of experience. She has taught children in urban, rural and suburban school districts providing both classroom instruction and itinerant services for children from pre-school through high school. Linda worked as an IEP and testing specialist, including securing and monitoring nonpublic placements for students whose needs exceeded what could be provided in the public schools setting. Linda has worked with Maryland State Department of Education monitoring schools and school systems. She continues to work with MSDE on special education issues.
Linda taught Understanding Special Education and Disabilities at Towson University and Testing and Diagnostics at Johns Hopkins University. She has successfully consulted for children throughout Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania. Linda is active in several statewide advocacy organizations.
